Students will study patterns of change in shadows, tides, seasons, and the observable appearance of the Moon over time.
Students will have a test over the moon phases and the vocabulary below on Wednesday. Vocabulary- Moon any natural satellite of a planet Waxing to grow Waning to shrink Phases a stage in a process of change or development Solar having to do with the sun Lunar having to do with the moon Crescent a curved shape that is wider in the middle than at its ends Gibbous refers to a moon in between a half-moon but less than a full moon Students will also need to know the 8 moon phases.
