Students will demonstrate an understanding of science lab safety, the scientific method, science lab tools, and the associated vocabulary by conducting their first experiment of the year while exploring the scientific method and lab safety. Students will begin to become familiar with studying vocabulary on Quizlet by studying vocabulary using Quizlet. Model - A representation of an object or event Observation - Information obtained through the senses. Opinion - A personal belief or judgment based on what a person thinks or feels, but not necessarily based on evidence. Science - The study of the natural world through observation and investigation.
